Brainstorm releases a video for the song ‘Nothing lasts forever’

Today, 2nd of July, less than three weeks before the start of the tour,  Brainstorm is releasing its music video for the song ‘Nothing lasts forever’, which is taken from the new album, ‘About the boy who plays the tin drum’.

‘When discussing the new album with friends, everyone says the same thing - “Oh, you really did a great job with this song”. I have to say that even during the track’s recording I had a feeling that this was something more than an average album composition. Youtube, Spotify, and other platforms also confirm that "Nothing lasts forever" is the most popular and most frequently listened-to song from the new album. So let’s see. Perhaps we are dealing with a new addition to Brainstorm’s existing collection of platinum songs, another song we will be happy to play at concerts for many years to come!’ says Renars Kaupers.

The music video’s director is Aivars Civzelis, known as PapaČi, with whom the band has repeatedly worked in the past and who, this time, also accepted the challenge to transform the song into a visual story:
‘This is an ordinary story that is taken from our lives. You could call it a symbolic comparison. A girl from the Circus board game with which we are all familiar invites a guy into her life. You can see that this girl is doing very well in the game called life, and she is carrying on with a good deal of ease as this “Circus” is her environment, but the guy is struggling. He tries to climb the stairs but falls dow. He returns to the start and tries again... In the video the band are like servants of destiny who form the life of these people by rolling the dice. Because life is a circus and a circus is life!’

Janis Andrejevs is the director of photography for the music video. The producer is Kristele Pudane. For their support in the making of this music video we would like to thank the Freeport of Riga and, on a personal note, its CEO, Ansis Zeltins, plus JSC ‘Riga Shipyard’ and, again on a personal note, its member of the board, Ainars Tropins, and the head of the internal control department, Romans Asminins.

The track "Nothing lasts forever" also has an Latvian language version entitled ‘Ogles’, as well as a Russian language version called ‘Контакты’. These versions are available via all digital streaming channels:
