BrainStorm’s song “Ogles” triumphed at the “Musical Bank 2018” award ceremony, held in Daugavpils on February 9, winning the “Most valuable song of 2018” title, after receiving the highest marks from experts, spectators and listeners.
The return to Daugavpils was special for the guys, as it was Daugavpils where they performed one of the most epic and heartfelt concerts of their 2018 summer tour, despite an unrelenting downpour. The evening of February 9 was no different – the unity of the artists backstage and the ovations of the spectators in the arena proved that music has a special place in the hearts of the residents of Daugavpils.
“Ogles” is a song form the band’s latest 11 track album “Par to zēnu, kas sit skārda bungas” and was debuted in April 2018. YouTube, Spotify and other platforms confirm that “Ogles” is the most popular and listened to song of the new album. It quickly conquered the hearts of listeners, with the song’s video receiving more than 100,000 views on the first day. Currently the number of views exceeds 2 million.
Renārs Kaupers initially commented on the song: “The beautiful upward soar and the falsetto chorus came at the last moment. And in conclusion, at the “Ikskile hit workshop”, the group MuMu created lyrics they were really excited about. And listening today, it seems that it turned out great!”
